Procedures for Merchandise Delivery Inspection
- Please report all shortages or damaged goods within 48 hours to Customer Service or to your representative. We will be more than happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your shipment.
- If there are missing or damaged cartons in your shipment, do not accept them until the freight carrier or the delivery driver makes a notation on both your copy and the carrier copy of the freight bill. Please keep careful track of your copy of the marked freight bill!! **Hi-Way Distributing and or the delivery company will not be held liable for damaged and or short box counts if you fail to sign the delivery freight bill that there had been shipment problems.**
Freight Policy Terms
- All freight charges are prepaid by Hi-Way Distributing and may be deducted on all orders over $300 if the invoice is paid within customer’s terms. Deduction may not be made on orders under $300 or Nascar orders or on C.O.D. transactions.
- Hi-Way Distributing reserves the right to select the method of shipping and the carriers of our choice. If the customer makes special delivery requests, freight charges MAY NOT be deducted. Special requests include, but are not limited to, a preferred carrier, overnight or express delivery, or inside delivery, etc.
- A $25.00 SURCHARGE WILL APPLY TO ALL ORDERS CONTAINING FLAMMABLE OR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. (Lighters, Propane, etc.)
- Shipping charges will be added once weight and destination are determined.
- Other terms apply to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and orders shipped outside of the United States. Please contact Customer Service for further details.
- Quotations on large quantities are available on request. Please contact Customer Service for further information.
- For the time being, Hi-Way will also be adding on a shipping fuel surcharge, which may not be deducted from any invoice. This is only for a temporary time period, and is in reflection to the constantly increasing and volatile petroleum market.
Policies on Returned Merchandise
- Hi-Way Distributing does not offer cash refunds, we will apply credit to your account upon issuing a credit memo for accepted returns.
- All returned merchandise must be pre-approved through your sales representative or the customer service department.
- All merchandise that is returned because of product defect must be in its original package and include all parts and accessories. Failure to have all parts and accessories will affect the amount credited.
- All merchandise returned that is not due to defect, must be returned in a saleable condition.
- All returns, besides defective, are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Freight charges will be deducted from the credit.
Sales tax will be charged on all orders within the State of Ohio according to the applicable sales tax percentage of the Ohio county where the item is being ordered from.
